IPR - South Africa
Pauline Sher (Chairperson) is working with
Pet Shop owners and vets in Polokwane, to display information
warning the public that pet primates need specialized care.
People who have sent primates to our sanctuary also offered
to speak to potential owners to warn them of the possible
heartache of having to part with their pet primate once it
reached sexual maturity. All of the people who phoned
in response to the posters have changed their minds about
getting a pet primate. We are sympathetic towards primate
pet owners, who are usually genuine animal lovers, but know
the heartache it may cause when primate pets become uncontrolable.
Prevention is better than cure.
IPR - UK
2006 promises to be the best
year ever. IPR has signed a contract with CHAT magazine
(UK) and the sanctuary story will appear in May 2006.
Other media coverage is in the pipeline. We will keep
you informed.

Many thanks to Zanna Mc Kay

have boosted our funds.

Thanks to the efforts of Cees

in the Netherlands is being saved towards the purchase of
our new property.
